At the Scene of the Accident

1. Call the police and make an accident report.
2. Obtain the following information from all drivers:
• Name, address, and phone number of the driver and vehicle owner if different
• Driver's license number
• Year, make, and model of the vehicle
• Registration number, plate number, and plate state
• Name of the insurance company (commonly on the registration)
3. Take pictures of the damage to all vehicles with your cell phone, if possible.
4. If you need to be towed, have your vehicle towed to Scituate Collision.

1. Call your insurance company as soon as possible to start the claim process.
2. Your next step is to get your vehicle appraised:
• If your vehicle was towed to Scituate Collision, call us with your claim information and we will arrange for an appraisal.
• If your vehicle was not towed to Scituate Collision, follow your insurance company's instructions
3. Once your appraisal has been approved:
• We will schedule all service needs if your vehicle is at Scituate Collision.
• If your vehicle is not at Scituate Collision, call us to schedule your repairs. We will help coordinate all aspects of your service needs, including arranging for a car rental.
4. We keep you informed of the status of your repairs throughout the process, including the need for a supplemental appraisal should the need arise once work has begun.
